Here at Paper & Pixels, we are print design specialists. Print is not dead, and with 40% of online searches still influenced by offline materials it is not something to be overlooked.

In fact, a piece of printed material can be a highly targeted piece of literature that delivers the right message, to the right person and provides a great ROI. We are great digital designers, but we love traditional print projects and haven’t lost touch with our original routes!

We have a dedicated and experienced team here at Pixels & Paper who work in print, who have a super keen eye for detail – the kind who can spot a needle in a haystack!

Our team have been working on the print and production line for many years working in tandem with the design and copywriting team to product and deliver the most uplifting creative for all of our clients.

The process .

The way we work depends on you, the client. Whether you prefer to work to a more formal guidance, or if you would rather take on a more informal approach we can do both! We’ll work with you in whichever way suits you best. However, we have four simple steps that we take to ensure a smooth and seamless project process:

Step 1: The Brief

In order to make for a seamless project, we initially ask for a brief from our clients. This way we can gather all of the information that you can provide. In turn, this ensures that both us, at Pixels & Paper and you, the client can be confident from the start.

The brief should include a detailed description of your company and its main goals, an idea of what you wish to achieve and what your target customer is. At this point we want to work as your outhouse, in-house agency so that we can get to know your business inside out! We can then adapt the way we work to suit your desired demographic and objective for the project in hand.

Step 2: Our Recommendations

As we mentioned before, 40% of online searches online are influenced in some way by offline materials. Whilst printed materials may be a powerful medium, it is just as important to find the right form of printed materials to represent your business. This is where we come in.

Following the brief you provide us with, we will then propose the best formats and ideas we have for your print design project. It may be that we suggest a different form of print that may make a greater impact and better ROI. Or, we may get an opinion from our team of experienced copywriters, who may suggest a way to improve the existing content before we send to print. Remember, these are all recommendations to help the project – at no extra fee!

Step 3: Concept Pages

From your brief and our subsequent recommendations, we will provide you with the first proof of the agreed print pieces, ready for approval. 

At this stage it is crucial for you to proof all of the documents we provide and follow the instructions we give. After we go past the Step 3: Concept Pages and you have signed off the proofs, we will go into the production stages and it will be sent to print.

Moving past the serious (but important!) aspects… this stage is the exciting stage. From this stage it is where things start to get exciting. We will begin to see the project move from an initial recommendation to a visual representation of the final project!

More importantly, this step also highlights how important it was to provide us with as much information as possible in the initial steps. In doing this we can create a project as close to the end result as possible in Step 4. Our goal is to make the end to end print design project seamless, so we don’t want a drawn out process with unnecessary back and forth. We believe that with great communication, we will achieve what we want to in the final project.

Step 4: Sign Off & Full Production

After the final concept pages have been signed off by you, the client we will start final project of your print design project. We will take into consideration any any points that were highlighted in the initial brief. This is where the hard work comes together and the project really comes to life. We take all of the information and research we have gathered over the previous steps and put it into one united product.
